Catalog comprising 11 oil paintings by artist Roberto Parodi (b. Mexico 1957) inspired in nine sculptures created in the 19th century and exhibited along the paintings. The sculptures of warriors, biblical personages, fishermen or nymphs created by Epitacio Calvo, Gabriel Guerra, José María Labastida and Arnulfo Domínguez Bello, amongst others are part of the art collection of the Museo Nacional de Arte (Munal) and are rarely seen in public. Parodi states that in 1981 he did a series of two hundred drawings from a sculpture of a womans torso in bronze of Aristide Maillol. This may give us a clue of interpretation about his latest exhibition.
