Historic account of the Bishopry of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in the eastern region of Bolivia during the last 4 centuries. The edition id divided in 2 sections: the first studies the historic development of Christianity in the region and the second written by architect Limpias Ortiz focuses on the wooden architecture of the religious colonial buildings characteristic of the zone, and that reach its highest aesthetic expression with the missions of Chiquitos and their transformation to neoclassic and modernistic typologies.
