I have gathered these widely scattered leaves from the autumn of Josefinas writing life in one place for several reasons: they make delightful reading, they reflect back on those gem-like prose poems in Josefinas first book, Versos y estampas (Verses and Sketches), published in the signal year of 1927, and, since they were published only in periodical form, they are an effective testament to her ongoing literary and intellectual progress –Carlos Reyes.
