La Ciudad Indese(ch)able: El Lado Oculto De La Violencia Urbana En La Narrativa Y El Cine De Dos Ciudades Latinoamericanas
Resumen del Libro

The literary and cinematic texts by writers Rubem Fonseca and Cronwell Jara, and the directors of Chaski Group and Fernando Meirelles represent the hidden side of urban violence in Rio de Janeiro and Lima from 1975 to 2002. The texts that I analyze use the narratological strategy of internal focalization to symbolize or represent—from within—the violent reality of the exclusion and loss of the essential rights of citizenship.
