Commemorates the centenary of the founding of the Academia Nacional de la Historia. Most of the volume is a series of institutional histories of the organization presented in chronological order from its founding until it changed its name to Academia Nacional de la Historia in 1938. Followed by a series of essays on key historiographical themes of the period: La Nueva Escuela Histórica, European influences and models, the Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas, the historical school of La Plata, revisionism, and La Sociedad de Historia Argentina.
