Power Of Attorney
Resumen del Libro

Power of attorney granted by Manuel de Espinosa y Tello in Valladolid, Mexico (now Morelia) to his brother, José de Espinosa y Tello, of Madrid. Manuel de Espinosa, lieutenant in the Spanish Royal Navy, grants full power of attorney to his brother José, captain in the Royal Navy, to act on his behalf in all transactions and agreements pertaining to property inherited from the estate of his deceased father, Conde de Aguila, and includes a list of specific powers conveyed to his brother, the proxy. The document is executed and signed by notary José Antonio Aguilar on July 20, 1801, and countersigned by Diego Nicolás Correa, José Guillermo Marocho, and Ygnacio Birbiesca on July 22, 1801. In a codicil to the document, dated Jan. 19, 1803 in Madrid, Josef de Espinosa y Tello, now a brigadier in the navy, transfers the power of attorney granted to him by his brother Manuel to their mother, Isabel Tello. The codicil is executed before the clerk Julián Gonzáles, and countersigned by three other notaries.
