Manuscript petition (on paper bearing a stamp for the years 1743 and 1744) by Juan Francisco de Tompes and Manuel Joseph Navarette requesting arms from the Viceroy of New Spain to defend their missions against cattle thieves and hostile Chichimeca indians.
