Level 1 covers high frequency vocabulary and basic grammar structures mostly in present tense in the indicative mode. Level 2 covers more complex structures in the indicative mode such as past, imperfect, perfect and progressive tenses in the indicative mode. Level 3 moves into more sophisticated vocabulary and the subjunctive and imperative modes.
