The book is a compilation of interviews by a group of historians of 23 contemporary Mexican artists on how they conceive their artwork in an era of globalization and how they perceive the current panorama of Mexican painting. They also express their ideas and thoughts regarding the role of curators, galleries and museums in society, the present art market situation and about art criticism. The selection of artist was based on their trajectory and the number of their exhibitions, mostly done in MAM.
