Resumen del Libro
Over the past 20 years, Spanish painter Jorge Galindos work has become an increasingly important piece of the puzzle that is the European art world. His passionate, chaotic approach to the canvas has testified to a strong artistic temperament, while his use of a range of materials–some salvaged–in large formats has complicated matters agreeably. More recently his work is evolving into a figurative, and on occasion almost clean, style. Having left behind the collage, Galindo is working with calendar-like mid-century images of women, and painting in disproportionate, out of place, and sometimes fantastic elements. Some might call the resulting works trompe loeil collages, he defines them as unreal paintings. This is the first catalogue dedicated to Galindos work.
