Author Machuca presents a series of critical essays regarding visual arts and the speed of contemporary art and their relation to mass media: to many artists producing a large number of works in little time, therefore questioning the fragility and over exposition of art and the loss of romanticism of the creative process. In a second part the author examines emerging Chilean artists and their new artistic proposals: installations, performances, architecture interventions and photography.
